About the Libreville airport
In 2007 Libreville airport handled more than 660,000 passengers. The amount of
freight processed varied between 12,000 and 25,000 tonnes per year.
The capital city of Gabon, Libreville has had an international airport since the 1950s. The airport has been upgraded over the years to allow it to handle all types of aircraft. The airport has been able to accept large size “jumbo” jets since the 1960s . Air and landing navigational equipment tested to international standards allow the airport to be used in all weathers.
